In this guide, we’ll explore how to use the Share menu to upload your video to popular platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, and Google Drive.
Choosing a Platform:
Camtasia allows you to send your video directly to three online platforms:
- YouTube: A popular video-sharing site.
- Vimeo: Another well-known video-sharing platform.
- Google Drive: A cloud storage service where you can store your video.
Uploading to YouTube:
To upload your video to YouTube, first make sure you have a YouTube account set up.
From the Share menu, select YouTube. Camtasia will check if you are signed in to your account.
If you’re not signed in, click Sign In and grant Camtasia access to your YouTube account by clicking Allow. This step also gives Camtasia permission to upload to Google Drive.
Once signed in, close the browser window and return to Camtasia. A form will appear where you can add a description, tags, and adjust other upload settings for your video.
After setting your preferences, click Finish. Camtasia will start producing and uploading the video to YouTube.

The process for Vimeo is similar to YouTube. You’ll sign in to your Vimeo account and follow the steps to upload the video.
For Google Drive, Camtasia will upload your video as an MP4 file to your Drive account, allowing you to store it for later use.
Monitoring the Upload:
Once the upload process is complete, your video will be available on the chosen platform.
For YouTube and Vimeo, the video will be processed and available for viewing after a short time.
