Cursor effects can enhance your screen recording by making the cursor’s movements more visible and interactive. Here’s how to apply and adjust cursor effects:
Accessing Cursor Effects: #
In the left-side panel, click on Cursor Effects. You’ll see three sections: Cursor, Left Click, and Right Click.
Cursor Effects: #
Cursor Highlight: Adds a visible highlight around your cursor as it moves. This makes it easier for viewers to follow along. Simply drag this effect onto the timeline, and it will apply to the entire video.
Cursor Magnify: Magnifies the area around the cursor to make small details easier to see. Drag this effect onto the timeline to enlarge the area under the cursor.
Cursor Spotlight: Darkens the areas around the cursor, focusing the viewer’s attention on a specific part of the screen. Apply this effect by dragging it onto the timeline.
Left Click Effects: #
When you left-click during the video, you can add visual effects such as:
- Rings
- Ripple
- Scope
- Target
Additionally, you can add click sound effects to simulate the sound of each click. This can make tutorials or demonstrations more engaging.
Right Click Effects: #
Similar to left-click effects, you can apply visual effects to right-click actions, including Rings, Ripple, Scope, Target, and Click Sound.
Applying and Adjusting the Effects: #
Start by selecting a Cursor Effect and dragging it onto the timeline.
You can adjust the duration and properties of the effect in the Properties panel. For example, the Cursor Highlight will follow the cursor throughout the video, and you can modify the highlight color and size.
For Left Click and Right Click effects, apply them by dragging them onto the timeline where you want to highlight a click.
Adjusting Audio: #
If the audio level is too low, go to the audio portion of the timeline. Use the Properties panel to adjust the volume, ensuring it’s at an optimal level for your video.
Rendering the Video: #
After applying the desired cursor effects and adjusting the audio, you can render the video by going to the Export area.
You’ll now have a video with visible cursor highlights, click effects, and adjusted audio.
Adding cursor effects makes your videos more interactive, especially in tutorials, helping your viewers focus on the key areas of your presentation.
