Now that you’re familiar with the timeline, you can start editing your video to remove unwanted sections. Here’s how to do it:
Cutting Sections Out of the Video: #
Move the cursor to the point on the timeline where you want to make an edit.
Once you’ve reviewed the video and identified the section to cut, drag the cursor to that point.
Click the scissors icon to split the video at that point. This will remove the unwanted section.
Editing Multiple Sections: #
Move to the next point in the video that you want to cut. Drag the cursor to that point and use the scissors tool again to split the video.
You can repeat this process as many times as needed to remove unwanted sections.
Editing Left to Right: #
It’s best to edit from left to right on the timeline, following the natural progression of time. This ensures that if you make a mistake, you can undo changes in chronological order.
Undoing and Redoing Edits: #
If you make a mistake, you can easily undo edits. Click the Undo button, or use the shortcut Ctrl+Z to go back one step.
To undo multiple steps, keep clicking Undo until the changes are reversed.
If you want to revert the undo action, click the Redo button, or use Ctrl+Y to redo each edit step.
By editing your video in sequence (left to right), you ensure a smooth process and can easily correct any errors along the way.
