Once you’ve completed your design in Canva, downloading it in your desired format is quick and easy. Follow these steps to ensure you get the best version for your needs.
Step 1: Access the Download Options #
- Click on the Download Arrow in the top right corner of the Canva interface.
- A menu will appear, showing the different formats available for download.
Step 2: Choose Your Desired Format #
Canva offers several download formats to suit your project requirements:
- PNG: Ideal for high-quality images, especially for online use.
- JPEG: Perfect for standard-quality images with smaller file sizes.
- PDF (Standard): Suitable for digital viewing and sharing.
- PDF (Print): High-resolution print quality for professional projects.
If you have a Canva for Work subscription, you can also create animations or GIFs from your designs.

Viewing Your Design #
Once the file is downloaded:

If you’re downloading a PDF for print quality:
- Select PDF (Print) from the format options.
- Decide whether to include crop marks and bleed settings.
- Click Download. Note that this process might take slightly longer due to the higher resolution.
