If you need to create multiple MP3 files at once in Camtasia, you can use the batch production feature. Here’s how:
Creating a New Preset: #
- Go to the Export area and choose Custom Production.
- Click on New Preset, then select Audio-Only.
- Click Next to proceed.
Batch Production with M4A Files: #
As of now, Camtasia doesn’t allow batch creation of MP3 files directly. Instead, you’ll need to create a preset that exports M4A files. Use this M4A audio preset to produce multiple audio files at once.
Converting M4A to MP3: #
Once you’ve exported your M4A files, you’ll need to convert them to MP3 format.
Using iTunes for Conversion: If you use Apple products and have iTunes installed, you can convert M4A files to MP3 without purchasing additional software:
- Open iTunes and go to the Edit menu.
- Select Preferences, then click on Import Settings.
- Choose MP3 Encoder and click OK.
- Add the M4A files to your iTunes library.
- Highlight the files, go to the File menu, and select Convert > Create MP3 Version.
Saving Converted MP3 Files: #
The converted MP3 files won’t appear in the Camtasia project area, so you’ll need to copy them and paste them into the directory where you want to store them. You’ll now have the MP3 files created in batch.
This process allows you to efficiently batch-create multiple MP3 files from your Camtasia recordings.
