The Element Menu in Canva offers several tools for customizing the elements you add to your design. Here’s how to use it:
Editing Elements:
When you click on an element (like a background or image), a menu will appear at the top with options to edit that element:
- Filter: Apply effects like grayscale.
- Adjust: Change color settings.
- Crop: Crop the element to your desired shape.
- Flip: Reverse the element’s orientation.
- Position: Move the element forward, backward, or to the top or bottom layer.
- Transparency: Adjust the element’s opacity.
- Link: Add a URL to the element.
Working with Text Elements:
To add text, click on the Text element and choose a heading or body text.
Once added, you can:
- Change font: Choose from available fonts.
- Adjust size and color: Modify the text’s appearance.
- Position: Move the text to any part of the design.
- Link: Add a URL to the text.
The Element Menu gives you complete control over your design, allowing you to fine-tune both graphic and text elements.
