1 min read

In this guide, we’ll cover how to use the Import and Export commands in the File menu, specifically focusing on zipped project files.

Exporting a Project as a Zipped File: #

The Export as Zip feature allows you to save your entire project, including the timeline and all media files, into a compressed zip file. This makes it easy to share your project or transfer it to another PC with Camtasia installed.

To export your project as a zipped file, go to File > Export as Zip.

Camtasia will prompt you to name the zip file. Choose a unique name for the file.

You can include all files from the Media Bin by selecting the appropriate option.

After completing the export, the zipped project is ready to be moved to another computer or shared with others who have Camtasia 9 installed.

Importing a Zipped Project: #

To import a zipped Camtasia project, go to File > Import Zipped Project.

Navigate to the location where you saved your zipped project, select the file, and click Browse.

Select the zipped project and click Open to import it into your current project.

Camtasia will extract the contents of the zip file and add them to your project, including any media and timeline data.

Working with Zipped Projects: #

After importing, you’ll see the media and other elements of the project just as they were in the original zipped file. This allows you to work with the project seamlessly on a different machine or as part of a new project.Using the Import and Export Zipped Project features is a great way to transfer large projects between computers or share your work with others while keeping everything organized.
