Music Licensing for Client Work

Yes. A Buyer may earn revenue from a qualifying finished Project containing licensed Audiodrome music when the track remains embedded and the License Agreement is followed. Audiodrome does not claim a percentage of revenue generated through compliant use of the music within that Project.

A music license for monetized content gives you permission to use the purchased track within the covered Project. It does not guarantee account approval, platform acceptance, monetization eligibility, uninterrupted revenue, or a particular outcome from a platform review.

What Monetized Content Means

Monetized content is a finished Project from which the Buyer or an authorized publisher earns revenue.

Monetization concerns income generated by the completed Project. It does not mean distributing, selling, streaming, or presenting the Audiodrome recording itself as the product.

Audiodrome revenue and monetization terms covering no revenue share, platform-controlled eligibility, and support for mistakenly applied copyright claims.
Audiodrome License Agreement

Qualifying examples may include:

  • A YouTube video earning advertising revenue
  • A monetized YouTube Short
  • A Facebook or Instagram video receiving platform payouts
  • A sponsored podcast episode
  • A video containing a paid brand integration
  • Subscription-supported creator content
  • A livestream receiving tips or platform revenue
  • A revenue-generating website or application production
  • A podcast participating in an advertising-supported program
  • A paid course containing licensed music
  • Membership content supported by subscriber payments

Each platform applies its own eligibility rules. Permission to use the music does not make an account, channel, upload, podcast, course, or application automatically eligible for a monetization program.

Does the Audiodrome License Allow Monetization?

Yes. The Audiodrome License Agreement permits a Buyer to monetize a qualifying Project containing a properly purchased track.

Audiodrome platform monetization rights allowing the Buyer to monetize a Project while the music remains synchronized within it.
Audiodrome License Agreement

The use must meet these conditions:

  • The Buyer properly purchased the track.
  • The track remains embedded within a finished Project.
  • The Project falls within the permitted license scope.
  • The Buyer follows the applicable restrictions.
  • The Buyer follows the relevant platform rules.
  • The Client-Use License Agreement process is completed when a client will receive and publish the Project.

A qualifying Project does not require a new license solely because it starts earning platform revenue, receives sponsorship income, or becomes commercially successful. The Agreement also permits the same licensed track to be used in unlimited qualifying Projects, subject to the embedded-use and client-work conditions.

Monetization permission does not transfer ownership of the music. Audiodrome retains the copyright and all rights that the License Agreement does not expressly grant.

Which Types of Revenue Are Covered?

Music licensing for monetized content may cover more than traditional in-stream advertising revenue. The Agreement defines Monetization broadly enough to include platform programs, sponsorships, branded content, and other lawful income derived from the finished Project.

Qualifying revenue may include:

  • In-stream advertising revenue
  • Platform partner-program payouts
  • Revenue from Shorts
  • Revenue from Reels
  • Revenue from Stories
  • Tipping and viewer contributions
  • Paid subscriptions
  • Membership revenue
  • Sponsorship income
  • Branded-content payments
  • Podcast advertising income
  • Revenue from paid educational content
  • Other lawful income generated through the finished Project

A creator does not need a different Audiodrome license solely because a qualifying Project becomes sponsored or begins receiving platform payouts. All other conditions continue to apply, including the requirement to keep the track embedded.

Monetized Content Versus Paid Advertising

Monetized content and paid advertising involve different revenue flows.

Monetized content

Paid advertising

The publisher earns revenue from the content.

A business pays to distribute promotional content.

Revenue flows toward the creator, publisher, business, or authorized account.

Campaign spending flows toward a platform, publisher, broadcaster, or media provider.

Examples include platform payouts, sponsorships, subscriptions, tips, and advertising-supported podcasts.

Examples include social media advertisements, promoted videos, commercials, and sponsored placements.

One Project can fall into both categories. A creator may receive payment for producing a sponsored video, while the sponsoring brand later pays a platform to distribute that video as an advertisement.

The Audiodrome License Agreement may permit both qualifying uses, but the practical workflows differ. Review the Paid Advertising Licensing guide for campaign distribution, promoted content, and advertising workflows.

Platforms and Projects Covered by the License

Qualifying monetized Projects may be published through online video services, social platforms, podcast platforms, websites, applications, and other covered media.

Platform examples include:

  • YouTube
  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • TikTok
  • LinkedIn
  • Spotify
  • Apple Podcasts
  • Websites
  • Applications
  • Other social, video, podcast, streaming, and online publishing services

Audiodrome License Agreement

These services are examples rather than a complete platform list. The Agreement provides a broader media grant and states that its platform examples do not limit the license scope.

Covered Project formats may include:

  • Long-form videos
  • Short-form videos
  • YouTube Shorts
  • Reels
  • Stories
  • Podcasts
  • Video podcasts
  • Livestreams
  • Recorded streams
  • Educational content
  • Paid courses
  • Membership content
  • Branded content
  • Sponsored creator content
  • Website productions
  • Application productions

Each platform separately controls its account requirements, originality standards, reused-content policies, regional availability, advertising policies, revenue systems, community standards, and copyright procedures.

Audiodrome Does Not Take a Revenue Share

Audiodrome does not participate in, share, recoup, or claim a portion of revenue earned through lawful use of a licensed track within a compliant Project.

Audiodrome license clause confirming that Audiodrome takes no share of the Buyer's monetization or advertising revenue from lawful Project use.
Audiodrome License Agreement

This means Audiodrome does not claim a percentage of:

  • YouTube advertising revenue
  • Sponsorship income
  • Platform-program payouts
  • Podcast advertising revenue
  • Subscription or membership revenue
  • Tips earned through the Project
  • Branded-content payments

A Project’s commercial success does not convert the license into a revenue-sharing arrangement. Audiodrome also does not gain a larger percentage when the Project receives more views, earns more revenue, or attracts a higher-value sponsor because Audiodrome’s percentage under §15(a) is zero.

This statement concerns amounts claimed by Audiodrome. Platforms, distributors, broadcasters, collecting societies, payment providers, tax authorities, venues, and unrelated rights holders may apply their own charges, revenue allocations, policies, or legal obligations.

Review the current Audiodrome pricing information before purchasing a track.

Licensing Permission Versus Platform Monetization Eligibility

“The Audiodrome license authorizes monetized use of the music, while the platform separately decides monetization eligibility.”

The license gives the Buyer permission to use the purchased track inside a covered Project. It does not control the platform, approve the Buyer’s account, or determine how the platform evaluates the finished content.

The license does not decide:

  • If an account qualifies for a partner program
  • If a channel meets subscriber or viewing thresholds
  • If the content satisfies originality requirements
  • If a platform classifies the content as reused
  • If the content meets advertiser-suitability standards
  • If a monetization program operates in the Buyer’s region
  • If other material in the Project is properly licensed
  • If a particular upload receives full monetization
  • How a platform allocates, delays, or temporarily holds revenue

Licensing permission and platform monetization eligibility are related but separate questions. A Buyer can have valid permission to use the music while a platform independently decides that an account or upload does not qualify for its revenue program.

Sponsored and Branded Content

Sponsored and branded content may qualify as monetized content when the creator, publisher, business, or authorized account receives revenue through the finished Project.

Examples include:

  • A sponsored video
  • A paid brand integration
  • A podcast sponsor segment
  • A branded tutorial
  • A sponsored Reel or short-form video
  • Membership content supported by a commercial partner

The Audiodrome license addresses the use of the music inside the finished Project. It does not determine the truthfulness of advertising claims, sponsorship-disclosure requirements, consumer-protection compliance, platform branded-content rules, or the legality of a promoted product or service.

The Buyer must also secure the necessary rights for trademarks, footage, photographs, performances, scripts, and other third-party material used in the production.

A creator producing sponsored content for a separate client must also follow the Client Work Licensing process. The Buyer must request the separate Client-Use License Agreement before delivering the finished Project to the client.

Monetized Podcasts and Audio-Only Projects

A completed podcast episode can qualify as an audio-only Project. The spoken episode, interview, discussion, narration, sponsor segment, or other production forms the finished Project, while the Audiodrome track remains supporting material inside it.

Audiodrome license clause allowing music in podcast intros, outros, stingers, background beds, sponsor segments, and trailers.
Audiodrome License Agreement

The music may be embedded as:

  • An introduction
  • An outro
  • A stinger
  • A transition
  • A background bed beneath speech
  • Part of a sponsor segment
  • Music within a podcast trailer

This differs from distributing the track as standalone music. A Buyer may not upload an Audiodrome track as a song, distribute it through a music service as a music release, create a soundtrack-only album, operate a music-only stream, or publish the track without meaningful Project content.

The Agreement also addresses mechanical rights for qualifying audio-only Projects. Applicable territorial law, platform procedures, public-performance systems, or collecting-society arrangements may still create separate obligations outside Audiodrome’s license.

Audiodrome mechanical license terms for podcasts and audio-only Projects where the music remains embedded and is not distributed as standalone audio.

Why the Music Must Remain Embedded

Embedded use connects the music to a larger production. The Project, rather than the isolated track, becomes the content that the Buyer publishes, distributes, presents, or monetizes.

Examples of embedded use include

Standalone or reusable uses include

Music placed under narration in a monetized video

Uploading the original track by itself

Music used as an introduction or background bed in a podcast

Providing a music-only listening experience

Music synchronized with a sponsored Reel

Offering the track as a separate download

Music used inside a paid course lesson

Distributing the music as an album or song

Music included in a finished livestream production

Making the track extractable from a template

Music synchronized with an application or website experience

Sharing the raw file as a reusable asset

The Buyer may edit, loop, fade, time, or otherwise adapt the recording inside a qualifying Project. These permissions do not authorize a separately distributed remix, new composition, music-only release, or reusable music product.

Music-Only Monetization Is Not Permitted

“You may earn money from the Project that contains the music. You may not earn money by distributing the Audiodrome music itself as the product.”

The Buyer may not:

  • Upload the track by itself to YouTube
  • Operate a music-only streaming channel using the track
  • Upload the track as the Buyer’s own song
  • Distribute it through Spotify or Apple Music as standalone music
  • Sell a compilation containing the track
  • Create a downloadable music library
  • Offer the track through a template that permits extraction
  • Add vocals or instruments and claim the result as a new composition
  • Claim authorship or copyright ownership
  • Monetize music-only playback in which the track is the primary content
  • Resell, relicense, sublicense, or redistribute the track

Adding effects, edits, vocals, narration, or other elements does not automatically create a new composition that the Buyer may own or distribute independently. Review the complete Audiodrome License Restrictions before publishing an unusual format.

Audience Size, Revenue Growth, and Platform Limits

The Audiodrome License Agreement states that there are no audience-size limits and no caps on platforms or channels. It also allows each licensed Digital Asset to be used in unlimited qualifying Projects, including client Projects that follow the Client-Use License Agreement process.

A lawful use does not require an upgraded Audiodrome license solely because:

  • A video receives more views
  • A channel gains subscribers
  • A Project begins earning revenue
  • Project revenue increases
  • The Buyer publishes the Project through another permitted platform
  • The Project becomes commercially successful
  • A sponsor pays more for a qualifying integration

These permissions remain subject to the Project requirement, embedded-use condition, continued compliance, client-use process, platform policies, and prohibited-use restrictions.

Using a track in another Project does not authorize the Buyer to share the raw file with another creator or business. The Buyer must remain responsible for the music workflow and follow the applicable client process.

Review the Cross-Platform Use guide for publishing one Project or qualifying Projects through different services.

Who Should Purchase the License?

The person or business that selects, downloads, and uses the track to create the monetized Project should purchase and retain the Audiodrome license.

Scenario

Recommended Buyer

Creator produces and monetizes their own channel content

Creator

Podcast publisher creates monetized episodes

Podcast publisher

Business produces revenue-generating content internally

Business

Agency creates monetized content for a client

Agency or production party managing the music workflow, subject to the License Agreement

Client receives and publishes work created by another party

Follow the Audiodrome Client Work Licensing and Client-Use License Agreement process

The Buyer should control the track file, retain the purchase evidence, and connect the license to the relevant Project. Raw music files and stems must not be passed informally among unrelated creators, agencies, businesses, clients, or publishers.

Before delivering a finished client Project, the Buyer must request a Client-Use License Agreement from Audiodrome. The client receives the finished Project and the separate agreement, but must not receive the raw track or stems as a reusable music asset.

What Happens if a Copyright Claim Affects Revenue?

A music license, platform monetization status, and a copyright claim are separate issues. A claim may affect revenue temporarily even when the Buyer has valid licensing permission, and a platform may evaluate the claim through its own procedures.

Relevant issues may include:

  • Licensing permission
  • Platform monetization eligibility
  • Content ID or rights-management claims
  • Revenue holds or diversions
  • Blocks
  • Takedowns
  • Claims involving other material in the Project

Audiodrome will not knowingly assert claims intended to divert revenue when the track is used in compliance with the Agreement. After receiving reasonable proof of the license, Audiodrome will take commercially reasonable steps to help release a mistakenly applied claim involving the licensed track.

Use this workflow:

  1. Preserve the complete claim notification.
  2. Record the affected Project URL.
  3. Confirm which Audiodrome track appears in the Project.
  4. Locate the purchase confirmation and signed License Agreement.
  5. Confirm that the track remains embedded within the Project.
  6. Follow the platform’s dispute or review process.
  7. Contact Audiodrome with reasonable proof when the claim concerns the licensed track.

Useful evidence may include:

  • Purchase confirmation
  • Signed License Agreement
  • Track title
  • Purchase email
  • Order or transaction details
  • Published Project URL
  • Claim screenshot or reference number
  • Claimed timecode
  • Relevant platform correspondence

The Agreement does not promise that no claim will appear, every platform will accept the submitted evidence, revenue will remain available during review, or every matter will be resolved within a particular period.

What Licensing Records Should You Keep?

Keep records that connect the Buyer, licensed track, finished Project, publishing account, revenue-generating use, and any client or sponsor involved.

Retain:

  • Purchase confirmation
  • Signed Audiodrome License Agreement
  • Track title
  • Track page or order reference
  • Purchase email
  • Order or transaction details
  • Original Project file
  • Final exported Project
  • Publication URL
  • Publication date
  • Relevant monetization records
  • Sponsorship or branded-content records
  • Client-Use License Agreement, when applicable
  • Claim notices
  • Platform correspondence
  • Relevant client or sponsor communications

The digitally signed License Agreement may support a response to copyright-related disputes or claims. The Project files and publication records can also help demonstrate that the track remained embedded within the licensed production.

Monetized Content Licensing FAQs

Can I monetize a YouTube video that uses Audiodrome music?

Yes. You may monetize a qualifying YouTube video when you properly purchased the track, keep it embedded within the finished Project, and follow the License Agreement. YouTube separately evaluates channel eligibility, originality, advertiser suitability, claims, and revenue allocation under its own rules.

Does Audiodrome take a share of my content revenue?

No. Audiodrome does not participate in, recoup, or claim a portion of revenue generated through compliant use of its music within a licensed Project. Separate platform fees, revenue splits, taxes, collecting-society systems, payment-provider charges, or obligations involving unrelated rights holders may still apply.

Can I use Audiodrome music in sponsored or branded content?

Yes. Sponsored videos, paid integrations, podcast sponsor segments, branded tutorials, and similar productions may qualify when the music remains embedded in the finished Project. You remain responsible for sponsorship disclosures, platform branded-content rules, advertising claims, and rights in other material used in the production.

Can I monetize podcasts that contain Audiodrome music?

Yes. You may monetize a qualifying podcast episode that embeds the track as an introduction, outro, stinger, transition, background bed, sponsor segment, or trailer. You may not publish or monetize the Audiodrome recording by itself as a song, music-only stream, album, or downloadable music product.

Can I use the same track in several monetized Projects?

Yes. The Agreement permits each licensed Digital Asset to be used in unlimited qualifying Projects. The track must remain embedded within each Project, and client Projects must follow the Client-Use License Agreement process before delivery. The raw track must not be transferred as a reusable asset.

Does the license guarantee platform monetization approval?

No. The license gives you permission to use the Audiodrome track within a covered Project. The platform separately decides account eligibility, regional access, originality, advertiser suitability, reused-content status, claim outcomes, and revenue allocation. Valid music permission cannot guarantee a platform’s monetization decision.

Can I upload and monetize an Audiodrome track by itself?

No. The License Agreement does not permit standalone music distribution or music-only monetization in which the Audiodrome track is the primary product. You may monetize a qualifying finished Project containing the embedded track, but you may not distribute the track as your song, album, stream, library, or download.

What should I do if a copyright claim affects my revenue?

Preserve the notice, identify the track and affected URL, locate your purchase evidence, and follow the platform’s dispute process. When the claim concerns a licensed Audiodrome track, provide Audiodrome with the signed agreement, purchase details, Project URL, claim reference, screenshot, and any relevant timecode.
